| The need for basic hoof care. Horses, donkeys, mules, goats and other hoofed animals need basic maintenance to keep them healthy and happy. Horses hoofs should be cleaned daily and should be trimmed or shod every 6-8 weeks to prevent cracking, thrush, strain on tendons and other causes of lameness. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. |
